Of the Abandoned

coast-sunset-park-bench_tn2 A left turn on the right street

Four feet above the ground

Sitting on a park bench

Forgotten and unfound

Burdened with all sorts of weather

Lost in the recesses of your mind

You only vaguely know it’s missing

As you move through the daily grind

One day you will search for it

But that time has not come just yet

Busy bodies can’t think of the forgotten

There are better people for which to fret
