‘Contained Chaos’ by Sarah Nelson

‘Contained Chaos’ by Sarah Nelson

The coil turns red
Heating up, slowly
The first bubble rises with my anticipation
To the top
Cools, back down
A cycle of tame excitement
A slow dance of science
The blue wax pools
On the top of the vessel, so
I shake it
a rain of wax bubbles
Clouding the scene
Like a cyan snow globe.
Beauty in contained chaos
