On My Radar
Hello everyone! This week, I decided to bring back artist features in a revitalized way. Here are two new-to-me artists that have really inspired me recently. Enjoy, and leave your thoughts in the comment section!
Just yesterday, I came across Capetown artist Kurt Pio on Instagram, and I was immediately obsessed. His website doesn’t provide much background information on him, but one thing’s for sure—his large scale paintings are GORGEOUS. I chose to feature his “Full Moon” and “Diamonds” collections, but you can check out the rest of his lovely work here.
Last post, I featured some of the INCREDIBLE work of Seoul-based installation artist JeeYoung Lee, found on This Is Colossal. I’m so obsessed that just a mention of her work was not enough—so now I have more! (I included the three that I featured prior, in addition to new pieces)
How beautifully she transforms her studio is the stuff of daydreams, if you ask me. Um, Ms. Lee, can you build me a mansion’s worth of these, please? Thanks. (Oh, you can see more of her work here)
See you soon! xx
