THOUSANDS of Grindr users from across the globe are facing issues today as the app is hit with a massive outage.

At 11am ET, over 3,000 users in the US and hundreds more across the globe – including 1,000 in the UK – have faced issues logging in and creating accounts on the dating platform, according to DownDetector.

Grindr is a gay dating app that first burst onto the scene in 2008.

The technology is location based, so will show you other people close by, but users have been unable to use the app amid today’s outage.

The US Sun has contacted Grindr for comment.
