IT’S a homeware addition that’s become synonymous with expensive house renovations.

But one woman has proved that you don’t have to spend loads on a custom made island for your kitchen – you can just head to your nearest IKEA.

Becky frequently shares pictures and videos of her stunning home on her social media sites, and recently posted a look at her kitchen.

She was inundated with questions about the room, with one person writing: “Where is your kitchen island from please?

“Your kitchen is stunning!”

Becky answered in another video, as she revealed: “It’s from IKEA!”

And instead of the thousands of pounds a handmade kitchen island would cost, the black and oak Vadholma island set them back £479.

It also comes with a 10-year guarantee and a pre-treated oiled worktop for “quick installation and easy maintenance”, the IKEA website adds.

“Probably my most asked question & its from the one and only @IKEAUK,” Becky captioned her video.

“It was a match made in heaven!”

People were quick to comment on the video, praising Becky’s homeware style.

“This is so beautiful,” one wrote.

“It’s super cute!” another added.

“It’s amazing,” a third said.

“I had it when I lived in London and when I moved back to Spain I bought it again.”

“On the website I thought it was ugly but in context it’s so pretty!” someone else wrote.

To which Becky replied: “I know it doesn’t look right online!

“We saw it in the shop & thought perfect!”

“What’s the name of the chairs from ikea or do you know how tall they are? another asked.

“Trying to get this island too it looks beautiful”.

“Aw thank you!” Becky replied.

“They are Sandsberg, £30 each.”

“I have that table. I love it!!” someone else commented.

With Becky replying: “It’s so nice, isn’t it!”

Not everyone was a fan of Becky’s whole kitchen look though, with one writing: “Gorgeous but hate the open storage aspect”.

Becky is on a mission with her house renovation to prove that it’s possible to give a new build “personality”.

She and her husband have worked hard to transform a room at a time, and have even totally renovated their garden too.
