A HIGHLY-RATED Yamaha sound bar and subwoofer bundle has had its price slashed at Walmart.
The Yamaha YAS-209 has an official listing price of $349.95 at the US retailer.

But this has been cut to just $159 in a sale – and stamped with Walmart’s “best seller” badge.
The $190.95 discount is roughly equivalent to 55% off the official mark-up.
And it’s eligible for Walmart’s free 30-day returns policy too.

The sound bar comes with a wireless subwoofer that connects over Bluetooth.
You can use the sound bar for enhancing your TV, or simply to play music or podcasts.
The 2.1-channel set-up has 200W of power output, and promises to deliver “deep bass”.
It’s also in a simple black color that should suit most rooms.

The Yamaha sound bar has earned a respectably high 4.5/5 score on Walmart.
That’s based on 28 shopper reviews, of which 24 were five-star ratings, a single four-star, and just three one-star scores.
However, it should be noted that 13 of these reviews were “incentivized”, which means the shoppers were rewarded for leaving a review.
This doesn’t necessarily reflect the contents of those ratings themselves however: one of the one-star scores was an incentivized review.
One shopper with a Verified Purchase badge left five stars on their feedback and wrote: “Amazing sound!!! The set-up was simple for the sound bar, and the sound quality is like having a surround sound system.
“The only dislike is when my TV connects to the soundbar, the soundbar automatically drops the volume to half. It did this to a Vizio and a Sony TV.
“The soundbar fits nicely on top of the entertainment stand.”
Another said: “Have no complaints so far. First soundbar that I have purchased and so far I am very impressed with the sound and clarity.”
One Verified Purchase buyer said that the Yamaha device delivered “awesome sound”, while another said that “the subwoofer is booming”.
