Nobody can hide from Winter
It holds us in its icy grip
Stripping away everything
Every falsehood
Every face
Every lie we’ve ever told.

Nobody can hide from Winter
We can cover up all we want
Even the leaves of trees will fall
We see branches
We see scars
We see hundred year old bones.

Nobody can hide from Winter
It leaves no stone unturned
While we wait we waste away
Wait for relief
Wait for truth
Wait for it resolve to break

But nobody can hide from Winter.
