When asked what scares me most
I don’t even have to think for a minute
It is not the idea of spiders or heights.
But instead I am afraid for the future
Not my future but the future of our kids

I fear one day they will not be involved in society
I fear that they will be isolated and wrapped up in a digital world
I fear that one day parents will not be able to raise our children
But instead wait for them to learn from the internet

When my child comes up and asks
“Why are the clouds suspended in air”
All I can say is “Google it”
If she asks, how many miles to california
I will only know to google it

Our knowledge will never be passed on
Our children will not be receiving the nurture they need
All they will get is a simple website title

I want to expand and make this more powerful. I feel rhyme would make it childish and delay my point so here is my first freestyle of the year.
