I can see the world clearer than before,
My eyes now focused through a looking glass
Showing me the things I could not once adore.
I was left jaded and shrewd, yet alas
I see the world in shades of pink and nude:
Flowers bloom from closed wounds,
Sunshine filters through open windows askew
A beautiful melody that keeps me in tune.
I see the truth, starting with you.
The earthly beauty you possess cannot hide
The silk of your voice leaves my heart blue
Pulling me in like the moon with the tide.
These unspoken words held behind my lips,
Are suffocating, my dear, don’t you know?
Abandoned here like my forgotten scripts
Where I wrote about your eternal glow.
You left me stunned and breathless,
Floating through space, towards crescent beams
I am weightless
Perpetually stuck in a daydream
