The sound of notes
Cascading like waterfalls
Up and down the piano keys

The room is lit by the sun
Pouring in through
The open windows

But he beckons the piano
To play “Nocturne,” night

And she listens
Hearing the still blackness
Basking in the moon’s silver glow
An imagined faint breeze
Shivering across her skin

She’d like to sing it
Something as alluring as the night
But for now she listens

As he makes the piano
Glide through the night
