If nothing moves does time still exists?
We measure the wind speed by the length of the moving clouds
By the amount of force it takes to flutter our scarf
The rusted ladder leads up to the roof
Gray clouds on gray sky
The sharp black rocks that form the floor
Of the earth
Of the roof,
Of the sky.
It should be blue today.
A perfect, still, blue cloudless sky
With red leaves hanging.
Suspended against the bright brilliant cobalt
Of dying fall
Attached by a thin twig of brown.
That’s what it should be.
That is the picture I took of time.
But my scarf is like a noose around my neck, I tug at the tassels as I climb
Each stair,
Each ladder rung
My Destiny getting closer as it pulls me up tighter and tighter
And finally I am standing on the edge
Balanced perfectly on gray stone
Orange bricks
I look out at the sky
So open
So free
The rope around my neck closing off
And cutting off my air
And I took a step

Love the way you show time should stop if nothing is moving, but we people can’t stop time. And eventually time gets us and we die. Really beautiful.
